Specialties
Being a teen or young adult can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, identity questions, neurodiversity, or major life transitions. You don’t have to figure it out alone.
I work with adolescents (ages 14–17) and young adults (18–29) experiencing complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, substance use concerns, and other mental health challenges. I also support young adults as they navigate pivotal life transitions, including leaving home, beginning college or careers, redefining relationships, discovering purpose, and exploring identity, including gender identity and expression.
In addition to my work as a therapist, I bring more than 30 years of experience in business leadership, management, coaching, and entrepreneurship. Those experiences continue to shape my approach to therapy. I understand that healing isn’t just about reducing symptoms, it’s about developing the confidence, resilience, and practical skills to create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.
My approach is holistic, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming. I integrate evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing, tailoring treatment to each person’s unique strengths, experiences, and goals.
Clients often describe my style as warm, genuine, and collaborative. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood; a place where you can slow down, reflect, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Many clients choose to include Zuni, my certified therapy dog, in their sessions. His calm, reassuring presence helps create a welcoming environment while supporting emotional regulation and reducing anxiety.
Whether you’re working through a difficult season or looking toward the future, therapy can be a place to heal, grow, and reconnect with what matters most.
