Zuni is the four-legged heart of The Counseling Collective. As a certified therapy and service dog, he helps create a welcoming environment where clients of all ages can feel comfortable, supported, and accepted.
With his calm nature and gentle spirit, Zuni has a remarkable way of helping people feel at ease, simply by being himself. You’ll often find him greeting visitors, quietly sitting beside someone during a session, or happily accepting the occasional ear scratch.
When he’s off the clock, Zuni enjoys hiking Maine trails, swimming whenever he gets the chance, chasing tennis balls, and reminding us that every day deserves at least one adventure.
For many clients, Zuni is more than a dog—he’s a calming presence, a source of connection, and sometimes the first friendly face to welcome them.
